Learn how to make a natural stone mosaic creation that can be used as a table top or an entry floor medallion. Two basic patterns will be used and the colors can be customized any way you desire. Choose between available sizes of 3’x3’ square or round ($95 materials), 4’x3’ rectangular ($120 materials) and 4’x4’ square or round ($160 materials). Work in a professional studio with all the necessary tools and supplies needed to complete these projects. Limit 10 students per

Ken Sullivan, AAEA Sculpting the Human Figure for the Equine Artist
Cost: $500 incl. model frees
A fresh approach to classical realism that celebrates the beauty of the human
and equine form. This fast-paced five day class, challenges equine sculptors to
sculpt the human figure - especially in the various ways the rider interacts
with the horse. Class elements include: Building an armature and sculpting a
seated figure using a live model, Sculpting faces and capturing a portrait
likeness, Sculpting hands with an emphasis on gestures, holding reins and other
objects Clothing the nude figure, with an emphasis on fabric textures, folds,
creases, and drapery. Overall sculpture composition, horse and rider
interaction, the use of details in telling the story. Skill level: Intermediate
